Estate Care Technician Position

Seat Summary

Carries out work as directed by the Estate Care Manager. Performs biannual reviews (home health reviews) as scheduled by the Estate Care Manager and Property Managers. Meets and supervises trade partners. Performs data entry as needed. Performs basic carpentry, troubleshooting, and diagnostics. Represents the company in a professional and proactive manner in all dealings with those associated with, and affected by, client properties. Ensures that work is carried out in a manner consistent with ABA’s core values and provides quality-control in every aspect of production.

Accountability

  • Work closely with the Estate Care Manager and Project Manager to ensure seasonal maintenance and additional service requests are executed as directed.

  • Perform Bi-annual reviews + home walkthroughs (home health reviews)

  • Accurately capture and document property data

  • Execute troubleshooting and perform basic diagnostics for common issues

  • Carry out preventative maintenance plans and proactive work as directed

  • Perform basic carpentry work as needed, maintaining ABA standards and practices in a safe and efficient manner

  • Meet with and supervise trade partners and vendors as needed

  • Ensure that all work carried out is undertaken within current codes of practice and that work is to the required standard.

  • Document all site activities via photos and task tracker entries each day.

  • Maintain jobsite safety

  • Ensure cleanliness of client’s belongings and finished spaces by providing surface protection and dust barriers whenever necessary.

  • Represent Adams + Beasley with professionalism, integrity, and honesty.

  • Attend all company meetings

Additional Position Responsibilities

  • Additional responsibilities will be assigned based on business needs.


Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Three years experience in residential remodeling or home maintenance

  • A sense of curiosity and desire to learn and grow

  • Proficient written communication to be able to write reports and complete paperwork

  • Numeracy skills to enable checking measurements/angles and doing calculations

  • Verbal communication skills to enable effective communication on all levels and to develop good relationships with clients/client representatives

  • Basic knowledge and understanding of all construction trades

  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Excel/Smartsheets

  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems

  • High regard for client satisfaction and well being.

  • Detail oriented

  • Reliable, punctual and responsible

  • Ability to work independently as well as within a team.

  • Ability to maintain sensitive client information such as alarm codes and key locations with the utmost of security.

Working Environment & Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

The employee must frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
